The HR Roundtable has assembled a Board of Advisors to vet of prospective members, set meeting topics, establish the foundation for other group activities, and define group guidelines. The Board is led by David Lewis, President and Founder of The HR Roundtable.


David Lewis

Barrie Covington
National Director, Human Resources, Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America

Barrie Covington is the National Director, Human Resources at Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America. Ms. Covington has over 17 years of experience in HR, with particular expertise in employee and labor relations, partnering with managers on complex workplace issues. Previously, she has held management positions at ENN (Elevator News Network) and The New York Daily News.


David Dankenbrink
Vice President of Human Resources, Remy Cointreau Americas

David is an experienced and passionate Human Resources professional skilled at identifying strategic change opportunities, enlisting stakeholders, and driving engagement across organizations. He has over 25 years of HR Generalist experience in the beverage, consumer electronics, and finance industries.

Currently, he is the Vice President of Human Resources for Remy Cointreau Americas, a leading French-owned luxury spirits organization, based in New York City. David prides himself on building people-centric cultures where team members feel excited about their work and are passionate and committed to contributing their best.

In his spare time, David enjoys playing tennis, and spending time with his wife and children, as well as taking his favorite dog on walks and hikes.


Alexandra McMahon
People Partner North America, FitFlop LLC

Alexandra McMahon oversees Human Resources for the North American division of the global footwear company, FitFlop. She leads a variety of programs, ranging from compensation and bonus plans to wellness and engagement activities. Alexandra sits on the senior leadership team and is instrumental in driving key initiatives and supporting an entrepreneurial spirit and high-performance culture.

She has worked in various industries across her career, including pharmaceuticals, retail, media, and consumer products. Her core strength is organizational development with a focus on mentoring teams across many businesses, specifically coaching and influencing senior leadership.


Howard Rhine
Chief of Staff / Head of HR, Adorama

Howard Rhine is the Chief of Staff and head of the Human Resources team for Adorama, Inc., a leader in the photography and electronics space.

His team supports the Adorama family of brands including SunnySports, Leisure Pro, Scuba.com, Printique, and Adorama Rental Company, and oversees more than seven locations throughout the United States.

In addition to leading the HR team, Howard’s role is to partner with Senior Leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for the organization.


Sarah Torpey
Global Head of Human Resources, Freepoint

Sarah Torpey joins the HR Roundtable Board of Advisors having served as a member of the Fairfield County chapter since 2013. She is currently the Global Head of Human Resources at Freepoint Commodities LLC, headquartered in Stamford, CT.

Prior to joining Freepoint in 2012, Sarah worked in human resources for both start-ups and established companies in the publishing, entertainment, and fitness sectors. Additionally, she is an active member of Chief, a private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders.


Meghan Whitman
HR Strategy & Initiatives Leader, Guardian Life

Meghan Whitman is the HR Strategy and Initiatives Leader for Guardian Life, a Fortune 250 mutual company and leading provider of life, disability, dental, and other benefits for individuals at the workplace and through government-sponsored programs. After starting her career in the non-profit sector teaching sustainable life skills to adults with disabilities, Meghan transitioned into Human Resources where she has spent 20+ years as an HR professional working for top Financial Services institutions including Barclays Capital, UBS, and GE Capital. She has held various HR positions of increasing responsibility from recruiting and strategic HR Business Partnership, to her most recent previous role as Chief Talent and Learning Officer for GE Capital.
